FREYA
Freya initially joined the Doggett family as a medical foster in April 2024. As a 4-5 month old puppy, Freya was found in a basement with her muzzle taped shut, and it’s believed she had been there for three weeks. It’s a miracle she survived! The Doggetts worked to nurse her back to physical and emotional health, figuring adoption applications for this cute little husky puppy would come pouring in once she was medically released. But none came! Meanwhile, as part of Freya’s recovery, Maija and Porter had been training her to do lots of things, including flyball. It turned out Freya enjoyed working with Porter, so the Doggetts decided she could stay! Freya excelled in her flyball training and might just become the fastest flyball dog in the Doggett household due to her high drive, incredible strength, and athleticism. Her current PB is 4.165 seconds. Freya truly is a miracle, given her unpleasant past. We are looking forward to a long flyball career!
