Tanner was a TOTAL Daddy’s Girl. She was a black Lab mixed with Blue Heeler, and therefore was highly food-motivated. We rescued her in 2001 at the tender age of four months. She competed successfully in agility before beginning to train for flyball in late 2004. Although obedience and agility training came easily to Tanner, it took her a lot longer to get the hang of flyball. After 4.5 years of training without much success, Tanner’s Uncle Scott took over as her handler and suddenly little Miss Tanner was game! Five years after she began her training, Tanner earned her FD at the 2009 ADGW Summer Solstice Flyball Tourneys, handled by her Uncle Scott. Her personal best was 6.840 seconds. Cancer took Tanner from us in 2014.
