Rio, a Belgian Malinois born in February 2001, was a founding member of Alaska Dogs Gone Wild. He was intense, smart, sassy, and hardworking, and also a sweet snugly boy. Rio was a superb flyball dog, with a personal best of 4.576 seconds. He has the distinction of being the only Alaskan flyball dog to have also worked as a certified Search and Rescue dog. Rio passed away in February 2017 at the  age of 16.
